I’m Christina Barnes (she/her), and I created The Way Therapy as a space to undo the aloneness that so many of us carry.
A space where healing doesn’t mean fixing yourself—but coming back to the truth of who you’ve always been.
I’m a trauma-informed, emotion-focused therapist who believes in deep listening, collaborative growth, and the power of gentle presence. I don’t think healing is a destination—we don’t arrive at “healed.” We choose, again and again, to show up, feel, and live with intention.

Why I Do This Work
Like many of the people I work with, I’ve experienced the ache of disconnection. The moments where something feels “off” in your relationships, but you can’t name why. The longing to be close, and the fear of being too much when you try.
I know how painful it is to carry old wounds while still trying to show up for your family, your children, and your partner.
That’s why I offer the kind of therapy that holds space for your full story, not just the polished parts or the broken ones.
Together, we explore what’s underneath the patterns that keep repeating. We slow down. We get curious. And over time, we build a new way of relating to yourself, to others, to your past, and to your future.
